James' class Halloween party

In the picture above, it looks like there was a real ghost in the room! check out those see through hands!!!

October 30, I went to James' 6Th grade class to help with their party. It was so much fun! I brought River, and all the girls wanted to hold him, unfortunately now he has a mind of his own and he wasn't having it. There were 4 mothers there, including myself, and we all had different "stations" I did a game where the kids had to eat 3 pieces of taffy with a pair of vampire fangs in their mouth. It was so funny to watch. The kids thought it would be easy but it was so hard for most of them. There was LOTS of drool involved, I even gagged just watching some of them. The mother that did the game with the kids eating donettes off strings just happened to have 2 left over. So I challenged Mrs. Hokanson (who just happens to have been my teacher when I was in 5Th grade, 20 years ago) to go against me. Little did she know I had a plan, those Hostess Donettes can fit into my mouth whole. so I just chomped it and ripped it off the string, it made her laugh so hard, she didn't even get a bite, all she got was a powder dabbed cheek. Lastly the whole class sat in a circle and played a game called. "trick or treat" they would draw out of a bucket a paper with either word on it. If they drew the word treat, they just got a treat, but if they drew the word trick they had to do something funny, almost like truth or dare. Some of the kids were so embarrassed, they refused to do their trick in front of the class. James' trick was to gallop around the room as the Headless Horseman. His friend had to Kiss his favorite GHOUL. He refused. There were 2 girls who had to "share a pair of bat wings" it was fruit leather, it was like Lady and the Tramp the spaghetti scene, so it looked like they were kissing.

It was really fun. I can't believe I forgot about Mrs. Hokanson's laugh, it's priceless. lol.

It was so funny, my mom had 2 of her sisters over, naturally they were speaking Swedish, then Glenn immitated something they said. so they were trying to teach him the right way to say it. It means "Drunk Old Man" LOL

Pumpkin Patch

Over the fall recess break, from School, Glenn wanted to take the kids to the pumpkin patch, and let them pick some pumpkins. This one we went to is great, it's a huge farm, We all had so much fun together.

Trunk-or-Treat

Wow fun we had our annual Neighborhood Trunk-or-Treat/Chili cook-off yesterday! We really had a blast. We got decked out in costme, the kids went around the parking lot to people's trunks and got candy. Then we all went inside for chili, and other goodies. Someone even made turkey chili So Glenn and I had some. then there was a Witch cackling contest, and doughnut eating contest too, but the doughnuts were hanging from the ceiling on the stage and the contestants could not use their hands. So funny. My Grandma who is here from Sweden even came, it was her first Halloween, and I think she even had a great time.

Little Andrea (Drea) turns 29!!

This means I'm old right? My little sister turned 29! Holy moley!! she got a new puppy for hrself, it's a Boxer, pit bull mix named Krull, the warrior king. It's cute (for a dog) and stripy like tiger.

So it begins.....

Well Folks, Brace yourselves..... here comes winter. The mountains are already snow capped so it'll be falling down here soon enough. WEEEEEEE

Party for Far Mor

This pic is my immediate family, and their families. there are 8 people missing though. Tor, Keyana, Camille, Henrik, Bjorn, Samila, Ashton, And Tim

Saturday my family on my dad's side all got together for a party. My Far Mor (father's mother) is here from Sweden. It was really amazing to me that I rarely see most of these people, and we mostly all live within 30 min of echother. The last time I saw some of my cousins was at My wedding. And some it's been even longer. We just have a large family and since all of us cousins have grown up and gotten married, it's just too many poeple for a rgular get together anymore. But it was really nice to see everyone again though.

Pinewood Derby

Thursday night we went to the Pinewood derby. the boys didn't have cars, but James had an old one with only 2 wheels. so there was a man there who brought his car from when he was a kid. he took 1 wheel off and gave it to James, and then let Ashton race his car. so both of our boys had 3 wheel cars! Ashton's actually won some races, but he had to send it down backwards. James' car lost every race. But they both got awards. James' was the sportiest looking car, and Ashton's was the most aerodynamic car.

River's birthday party

As you can see we had fun in the water, river was not very fond of the slip-n-slide, but the rest of the kids were.





All who attended, Us, Angela, and her kids, mor mor and mor far, Andrea, Crystal, Grandma Higbee, And The Moons..

Ashton gave River a ball, and he Wrote, "Happy Birthday River, Have a Ball" it was so cute.






I love that pic with River's hand in the cake, I think it could win awards. Nice job Glenn!






James made the banner for River. and he made the R backwards on purpose, he said it's like the one in Toys R Us I thought that was cute.

4 Wheeling/ Ashton's last week

We went 30 miles on 4 wheelers to Cascade Springs, What an interesting place.
